Birth of Stars

The extraordinary images of nebulae and star clusters recorded by the Hubble Telescope marked a cultural milestone. These photographs revealed celestial nurseries where stars are born and where they collapse. During the Covid-19 lockdown, confined and unable to travel, I turned to these images as portals. They offered entry into new universes—exquisite, explosive, and full of transformation—and became the catalyst for the Birth of Stars series.
